Light of the World New Chapel
Project Description
Light of the World Roman Catholic Church is a 18,000 square foot, ground up addition to the existing church that was originally built in 1979. The church features lighting and lighting controls that were designed with ambience and energy conservation in mind. The sanctuary and Narthex contain accent lighting to highlight the hand painted Stations of the Cross and various statues throughout. The most special accent lighting is in the cupola above the sanctuary and the stained glass windows the remain lit at night. The most dramatic was the LED backlighting of the 200 year old German Crucifix and the reflective up lighting of the dove at the back of the sanctuary.
